About me

Hi Everyone and welcome to my website where I share my journey to recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

ABOUT CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has many causes and manifests differently for everyone. Whatever form it takes, the sufferer has a collection of symptoms.  The symptoms are not the same for everyone and can vary from person to person both in type and severity. For this reason it is often misdiagnosed and people suffer far longer than they need to.

For some it can be completely debilitating causing the sufferer to be totally bedridden. My case would probably be categorized as moderately severe where I had a short spell of being bedridden amidst the many years of very low energy.

Whatever the level of severity suffered it can be extremely disruptive to your life as the key symptom is a complete lack of energy. Without energy to complete daily tasks, carry out a normal workload, exercise and socialize it feels like your life is very much reduced as you attempt to conserve your energy however you can.

YOU CAN GET HELP AND RECOVER

When I was on the road to recovery, I visited a lot of internet forums on the subject seeking information and was saddened to see so many people searching for answers on how to get better.

In fact what made me most sad was the belief of many that there is no help available and that recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is impossible.

GIVING HOPE OF A RETURN TO FULL ENERGY

My aim with this website is to tell my story and give hope to the many people afflicted by this syndrome. In telling my story I hope to reach people who are suffering and believe that they’ll never get better. Maybe they’ve had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for years as I did. Maybe they’ve been told by their Doctor that there is no help for them.

By sharing my journey from sickness back to full health I hope to convince people that recovery is possible and not to give up on themselves and the belief they can lead a full and energetic life once again.

I’ll share tips and things I tried, what worked for me and helped me towards good health again.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best

Ann

  1. Hi Ann,
I’m so glad to hear that you finally found ways to relieve your chronic fatigue syndrome, it sounds like a horrendous time in your life. Well done on the website, my niece did suffer similar symptoms after the birth of her second child, the doctors told her that she had post natal depression and fibromyalgia, she found equine therapy helped she is so much better now thank God.

    • Hi and thanks for stopping by my website. Yes, I fully recovered from my chronic fatigue syndrome, it took a while but luckily I had the help of an experienced naturopath to help me.

      • How did you find a naturopath and/or functional medicine doctor? I’m in NC and can’t seem to find one that’s any good.

        • Thanks for stopping by my site. I empathize with your dilemma, it is not easy to find a naturopath experienced in helping with chronic fatigue syndrome. My naturopath is located in australia and does Skype consults. If you are interested in contacting her please let me know and I’ll DM the details. I was living in Thailand during the time she treated me and had regular Skype consultations with her.
I am currently working on some research into finding naturopaths globally with experience in chronic fatigue syndrome and will publish it when I can. All the best in your search to find someone in the meantime

  2. This is really a very cool website. My sister has fibromyalgia and I’m not sure if she has Chronic Fitigue Syndrome as well or if they share some of the symptoms. Either way, I’m glad to see this website and I think you will be able to help a lot of people. I’m bookmarking it because I see several posts that I want to come back and read for myself and the one about Natural Pain Relief for a friend.

    • Hi and thanks for stopping by and your kind words about my site. Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome do share some of the same symptoms. In fact some people say they are the same illness. My naturopath described my chronic fatigue syndrome as having a fibromyalgia component to it as I had painful areas of my body as well as all of the other symptoms. So glad you found a few posts you want to come back to for a read.

It is refreshing to find websites that share the same goal of helping others to feel better instead of making them feel uncomfortable about their health condition. I would love to talk more about an affiliate program that may be of interest to you. Please do not hesitate to contact me so that I can share with you more details

  4. Hi Ann
I am so glad to have found you. I am recently diagnosed and am at the severe stage and completely bed ridden. There is so much conflicting information out there. Just wanted to check that you still monitoring this website and have any useful up to date information on Perrin Technique. Thank you in advance.

    • Hi Chantal, still monitoring this website of course but it’s been a busy couple weeks here for our team. So sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. Have you had any breakthroughs recently, since your comment? Have you tried lymphatic drainage at all? The key to success would be consistent treatment over time. The number of clinics is increasing, and there has been a larger focus on the technique, specifically in relation to the fatigue associated with Long Covid. This is good overall for treating CFS/ME due to the research, investment and acknowledgement of the condition. What are you looking for answers to, specifically? PS. Thanks for writing in 🙂
